  • Demonstrate the economic and social relevance of the project for the country;;
  • Prove that you have financial means in Portugal (financing obtained in a Portuguese bank, if applicable, must be included).

Requirements for self-employed workers

Self-employed workers can also apply for a visa to exercise their professional activity in Portugal.

In this case, it will be necessary to prove:

  • Have a contract for the provision of services (or a formal proposal for a contract for the provision of self-employed services) or a partnership agreement;
  • Present a declaration issued by the competent entity in Portugal that you are qualified to exercise the profession in the country, such as the bodies that regulate certain professions (if applicable to the case).
